The pool was extremely clean
Bed linens appeared thin and old and old coffee in lobby at 10
The proximity to shops, restaurants, other Cape towns, and the beach was convenient.
Standard Queen room was tiny, and I'm guessing most of the other rooms are also; mattress needs to be upgraded, it was very uncomfortable and it was also so noisy to move around on!!! I barely slept!
The staff were very nice, and the pool looked great. I didn't have time to go in.Enjoyed the convenient location.
The pillows were kind of flat for me. It was older but clean. The comforter had just come out of the linen closet so it smelled like moth balls.
Manager very pleasant upon arrival. Ready to make guests comfortable. All the rooms were non-smoking.
Would have liked towels/washcloths to be larger and thicker.
This motel was unpleasant, matresses were old, very low to the floor. I had bugs crawling out of my ac unit, which was 8 " from the bed. The parking lot was dimly lit, the bed linens were not clean. When you walk in to register, it's blazing hot - the owner told me it was because his vendimg machines were on. Really? Not worth 1/2 of what I paid.
Convenient to destination at Chatham, ma
For the price I was paying, I expected a dump. Instead, I found a motel that was well maintained and a warm, helpful owner who went out of his way to help me with a minor problem. I had no trouble with internet access or anything else. I recommend this motel highly for those looking for an inexpensive place to stay on the Cape and look forward to going there again.
Location! Near the beach, near route 28 classic Cape Cod
The owner is very nice. I am really not comfortable at the Barnacle though. I find it hard to feel safe there. It's online reputation does not help this matter. There are stories of burglary etc. There is just a key knob lock with nothing else on the door. There seem to be unsavory characters around too. I really like the owner, location and price but will probably pay more to feel safe next time visiting Capecod.
It was inexpensive. A good value.
The mattress was extreamly firm.
Was very inexpensive, and in a central location to where I needed to be during my stay.
The toilet was very low to the ground. and the seat was very awkward and uncomfortable
Cozy atmosphere. It was a rainy day but the heater in room made it feel cozy and warm. Bed comfy.
Could use a clock in the room and maybe a small coffee maker.
The staff were most helpful
A bit cramped, Air conditioner was right by one of the beds
We had the junior suite over the office - no problems with noise from below - a little noisy as it faces the main road, but the room was extremely clean. The bed was comfortable. The manager was very professional and extremely helpful. We would definitely stay there again and bring our grown children with us for a week at the Cape. This is a budget motel, but it is worth the price.
Great location in West Dennis, shopping/beaches/sites/restuarants all nearby.Slept really well.Nothing The owner and his wife were charming and could not have been more helpful. Thought Wellfleet was superb but Hyannis too touristy. Would recommend this place without doubt. Writer and friend were travelling New England area and stayed at a lot of places over 3 week period. Both mature people.
Nothing there is a nice swimming pool but didn't have time to use it
